Exceptional reproduction of Byzantine-style icon is mounted on wood and varnished, and has hand-painted details and effects, including raised paint. The sides are painted in ochre. These icons are in Ukraine's national museums, and are among the best examples in existence. Each reproduction is painstakingly prepared by an artist of the St. Anthony workshop of iconography (lviv) on a traditional wooden plate and set in Levks (chalk-based natural glue) with gold background and details in acrylic paint in accordance with the principles of Byzantine-style icons. There are provisions on the back for hanging the icon, and each has a certificate and seal on the reverse.
