#22 Amethyst Cluster Pysanka Dye

Amethyst Cluster is an eggshell dye colour in between Magenta Fireweed and Viking Violet. It covers within seconds and is brilliant together with Glacier Turquoise, Yukon Gold as well as Sweetgrass or Borealis Green but just as stunning along side Orca Black.

Amethyst Cluster Name: Known as the provincial gemstone of Ontario and the birthstone for February, amethyst is a variety of quartz crystal with a bold purple colour. Amethyst crystals have been discovered from as long as 3000 BCE, that's 5000 years ago and can now be mined in Northern Ontario. The brilliant cluster of crystals are awe-inspiring, and our Amethyst Cluster dye has the same wonderful vibrancy. Amethyst Cluster is great for people looking to create a sense of tranquility and calm in their lives. Those who appreciate the power of balance, harmony and stability will be drawn to this magical shade of purple. 

**Notes when using Ukrainian EggCessories Dyes:
Cream Soda Pink, Yukon Gold, Cleansing Orange & Cleansing Yellow DO NOT use vinegar. Please leave your eggshell in the dye long enough to get your preferred colour. To get a strong black, you may need to wash back your last dye colour until your eggshell is a nice exposed shell, dip in vinegar for 30 seconds and then put in Orca Black longer than 10 minutes.

SAFETY FIRST
Breathing in or digesting pysanka dye powder can cause extreme abdominal pain and respiratory symptoms, such as a cough, shortness of breath, and a sore throat. Contact with eyes can result in redness and pain, and skin contact may cause redness as well. For arts and crafts purposes only, not food grade.

Due to these concerns, NIOSH suggests preventative measures for those working with acid pysanka dyes, such as protecting the skin with gloves, eyes with eyewear and providing appropriate ventilation while also wearing a N95 mask.
