My Orchidia is a ficitional novella that takes place on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, what used to be called Little Ukraine. The two protagonists walk along memory lane and explore how they remember, grieve, commemorate, believe, despair, and give meaning to a constantly changing world within which Bowery bums appear to be the only true heroes and the landmark Italian-Ukrainian restaurant, The Orchidia, is the only beacon of hope.
