With music by Jack Zaza Orchestra, CBC studio musicians, including Ben McPeek (piano) and Peter Appleyard (xylophone) and musicians who were members of the Montreal Symphony. Composer Wesolowsky spent his working career with the CBC. From the first song on the disc recorded in 1950’s, this recording celebrates the era of tangos & waltzes that were typical of the Lviv cabaret and dance halls of the 30’s - 40’s. Working with Bohdan Wesolowsky, singer A. Derbish was very popular throughout the post war immigrant communities in North America. Made in Canada.
