Information regarding US Duties - Shipping Options

We appreciate your business, and thank you for supporting Ukrainian culture and the people who spend relentless house producing, manufacturing and bringing all things Ukrainian to your home and family.  We are Ukrainian, and we are what we culture.

On August 29, 2025, the United States eliminated its $800 de minimis exemption that has long enabled US citizens to import items from around the world into the U.S. without duties, taxes, or full customs clearance. This also applied to Canadian merchants to ship low-value parcels to its US customers. 

Now for Canadian merchants, it means higher costs, new compliance hurdles, and potential shipping disruptions. For our U.S. consumers, it means higher prices and fewer cross-border shopping options.

Due to the implementation of duties on all products shipped to the USA, Canada Post (our primary shipping method) is now obliged to collect and remit a flat rate of 25% duty/tax on all shipments from Canada to the United States. The duty that you will see on your orders also includes a service fee charged by Canada Post to cover the costs of managing the work associated with this tax.

Alternatively, UPS Express & UPS 3 day Select service is able to clear customs under the Free Trade Agreement and collect Duty on non-Canadian & non-US manufactured items. These UPS services are faster, but more expensive shipping options.

However, when you select a UPS options, you will see a flat rate charge of 10% on all products, as opposed to duties up to 25% + shipping via Canada Post.
