A monograph highlighting 20 years of work by the artist is beautifully designed. The 112 pages hardcover edition is large format (9x11 inches), and features text in English and Ukrainian, with introductory essays by art historian Myroslava Mudrak and over 100 color reproductions of selected artwork. The book is one of a series of artist monographs dedicated to artists of Ukrainian heritage living and working outside of Ukraine, entitled "Testimonies of Spirit". In her creative output, Lydia Bodnar-Balahutrak, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, extends the journey first undertaken by her parents and grandparents, an art "in perpetual motion", vividly recounting memories and actively reviving hope and expectations. Her art ranges from sketches to color portraits, mixed media and modern works.
